Can i resue my tailpipes?

have si/do super44 now, if i go true duels can you saw off current tailpipes with tips on them? then weld them to the 2 mufflers that are being put in. the only reason asking is because my tips were expensive and dont want to replace. thanks

ok thanks it will be the same size (2.5) obviously lol. just asked becasue guy at a meineke told me i can only reuse one side...i dont know why but thats just what he said. i actually may swithc to duels now being i can reuse my tails and tips. just them tips are so damn expensive dont want to buy em again. only thing is arent 2 seperate mufflers farther apart than my single in duel out muffler?

how much louder/deeper will my truck be from my current super 44 muffler?

dude i wouldnt worry about reusing my tailpipes, just get the muffler guy to cut the tips off and use those again...i had a super 40 si/do with 2 3.5" chrome tips on it and didnt feel like payin 75 bucks for tips again, so i bought single chamber flowmasters and told him to cut the tips off and reuse those tips...and as far as tru dual mufflers and how much deeper/louder that just depends on the mufflers my friend..if your changin your super 44 for tru dual super 44 then it will be noticibly louder and deeper, oen of my buddies has a 350 chevrolet with tru dual super 44 and its pretty darn loud and sounds dang good....so it just depends on the mufflers ur switchin to

well brotha, my input iiiiisssss...im not much on on magnaflows because i like loud..and maggies arent really that loud..but they are the best muffler for performance..if it were me i would go true dual super 44 flowmaster because i love the loudness and the rumble of a flowmaster...thats why i switched from one flowmaster to tru dual 10's

Thats right! coming soon, two 94306s

Thanks for the comments on my system also.

4wdF150 your truck would sound pretty cool with true dualed super 44s, but true dualed chambered mufflers would bring your low end torque down a bit especially without the proper tune. It would sound pretty decent, however yours sounds now with the true dual affect, but I wouldn't do anything to risk my low end power and economy like that again.

If you go with Magnaflow you wont have much to worry about, exept hoping its loud enough for ya, though cats will fix that problem. Your performance will not suffer noticeable at all. Comparing the restriction the OEM muffler had with a single 2.5" exhaust and the more opened up 2.5" true duals and Magnaflow 11" body mufflers, no loss and no gain, truck has not suffered at all noticeably. And I love that clearer and healthier sound it has compared to my Chevys old system with the Super 44s. I just wish it was as loud as the Chevy was, but as I said thats gonna be taken care of soon.

I would say go ahead with the Magnaflows, 14" or even better the 11"! I'm very happy with my 11" body mufflers. Never heard any feedback on them before so buying them had me a bit nervious but I made the right choice. My truck sounds pretty good for having 4 cats so if yours will definitely sound good. Just hoping they aren't over the loudness level i'm expecting lol. I bet you my stock exhaust was quieter than your stock exhaust, a guy I work with has an 02 F150 5.4 and his stock idle was louder than my stock idle. So I would imagine his truck would be a tad louder than mine if he had the same setup & stock cats.

I also bet your truck could run better with true dualed Magnaflows than your current si/do Super 44. Chambered mufflers and straight through mufflers, the power difference is pretty amazing.

$87.95 each, so $175.9 together, free ship ( but a tax charge from certail states ) from Performance Curve and Performance Peddler currently, I just prefer to deal with Summit.

And by Troyer Performance's word, they are designed perfect for your truck.
