I need suggestions please

I never thought I would give up my bullet but it looks like that's what needs to happen. Its way to poppy I think a lot of that has to do with the length of it and the headers. So now I am looking for a si/so muffler with an aggressive tone that will still scream at wot. I hate flowmasters so dont even attempt to bring them up. I'm open for all suggestions. It needs to be a 3inch as well. I'm trying to get away from that glass pack sound. Thanks guys

Weird. My Bullets didn't sound like any glass pack muffler. I'd get a super short Magnaflow muffler, the smallest thing you can get.

Magnaflow "magnapack" 4" round casing, 3"in/out. 14" long.

Thats your best bet.

If you dont mind spending a bit more money, the 10" Borla Type S would sound badass too.

I'd go with the smallest Magnaflow muffler, not just the Magnapack. The Magnapack is almost a resonator.

The Borlas do not sound good on modular motors, sadly.

Mine does.

But i wouldn't spend the money on a brand new borla muffler.

Also, the magnapack is not a resonator, it has internal packing and a perforated tube just like a regular maggy muffler for sound scavenging. Only difference is that the case is significantly smaller.

I don't think so but you know what they say about opinions.

I know exactly what the Mangapack is but it sounds like a resonator. Also that's why I said almost.

That's odd. My Roush, made by Borla, sounds most awesome on my modular 5.4.

Good sounding options...

"Good Sounding" is really a subjective issue. Everbody has a different opinion, but I really like the sound of my SIDSO system from Corsa Performance - not to mention the top notch construction.

Yes, I have. The Roush sounds awesome for the 04+ NBS F150. It does sound completely different than the true Borla system. Borla also makes the FRPP exhaust system for the S197s. It doesn't sound anything like their system for the S197, either. Remember that these exhaust systems are manufactured for Roush and FRPP to their specs, not Borla specs.

But still made by Borla.

Im going for more of an aggressive tone and corsa's are more raspy. I do love the mufflers though. It's either going to be a Borla or a maggie. I would love the borla but my truck has been put on hold and this is the last thing I am buying for a long time. I have to have neck, back, and shoulder surgery so the track is really of no importance right now
