Exactly which Magnaflow exhaust ???

Doh ! It won't let me change the title ! I always get these exhausts mixed up ! Anyway, I meant to say "Magnaflow"....... Now all the Magnaflow guys are going to ignore this post.... Urggg...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~~~~~~
I had pretty much decided that I was going to go with a Magnaflow, for my new 4.6L, based on the popularity of them on this site, plus this is what my "pro muffler mechanic" friend generally recommends.
So, how much more expensive, and involved is it, to go with duals ? How many different Magnaflow's are available for a 4.6L ? What is the typical price range for the single, and then for dual Magnaflow's, including install ? I'm sure my muffler buddy could tell me, but I didn't really want to bug him again, until I was ready. Just looking for a heads up....
Thank you,
Fish
PS, Are the duals any louder ? Or just better sounding ?
Oh, and I just read this on the forum > you are automatically going to lose back pressure with true duals over a SI/DO system < Is this something I need to be concerned with ? ....with either a single, or duals ? I've just been assuming that no matter which aftermarket exhaust I go with, I would automatically get "improved performance" ? No ? It could actually decrease my perormance ???
I'm sure the Magnaflow guys will still chime in. All exhausts here get their feedback no worries.
A SI/DO setup will be slightly quieter, and will sound clear and calm, and still remain you withgood backpressure.
True Duals sound much much better, deeper toned, and louder, but there is a little loss of low end. The high end power increases, but with gas prices high end isn't seen on trucks anymore
The install for a SI/DO system could cost you about $100 installed if you provide the muffler and tips.
True Duals $200 - $250 depending on whats involved, with you ofcoarse providing mufflers and tips.
My last truck ( 2005 Silverado ) lost 0.4mpg after I did Flowmaster Super 44 true duals with Magnaflow tips, and cats, so it wont be a very hurtful loss. I'm doing the same setup to my F150.
Well Darren......
I'm sure the Magnaflow guys will still chime in.
Apparently not.......
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Anyway, just to reiterate >
I'd like my truck to be quite a bit louder, and more rumbling than stock.... But it doesn't have to be the "loudest", and no matter what, I don't want to lose 1% in low end power, or fuel efficiency.

Thanks again Darren,
Anyone else ?

Fish

I have 3" from the Y to a 18" Maggie SI/SO dumped. It's exactly what I was looking for. Not loud, but a nice rumble on start-up and just enough growl under WOT. If you want loud, this setup is not for you. Ran me about $120 installed.
