When I checked pricing, it seemed they were all about the same pricing - within a knats patoot. Troyer has 'em, and I'll bet they'll match pricing. Or, ModBargains has them, too (site sponsor) so try them a swell.

You actually cant get them....yet...

They are still finishing up the redesigned heat shields, waiting for them to come back from coating.

It is worth the wait, I love my AF1 on my 06. Sounds mean and has made a noticeable performance difference

Excuse me? Are you thinking 2009? I have a 2008 and my AF1 is sitting here in my garage. Were there changes since 2007? I'm not thinking so. I checked out the installation directions and they say 2008 also. What do you know that we don't? What "coating" are you talking about? Quick... I'm installing mine tomorrow.

No, he is right, they had them but the shield for the 07-08 needed to be changed, I think the holes moved a little, and they are waiting to get them back, I have been waiting for about 2 months now

Well, I just took mine out of the box and installed it. What a disappointment. The stainless heat shield is now painted gray... but the price is still the same (or more) than I pain back in the winter of 2006. And, you are correct, the hole for the blue vibration isolator on the bottom of the heat shield no longer hits a hole Ford has in the exixting sheetmetal. I marked the spot and drilled an 1/8" hole. Then, I used a self-tapping sheetmetal screw to hold it in place. I noticed the filter did not leave any oil residue on the cellophane wrapper, which made me question if it is pre-oiled... I'm sure it is. All in all, the install went fine. I wish the directions were a bit better on mounting the intake tube to the bracket when it comes to the bolt and two flat washers. I guessed on their locations, not that it matters much.

Maybe Alon can shed a little light on the why the price of the AF1 on his site has skyrocketed to $399?

The reason for the price increase is from AF1 directly, not something I had any say on. It is unfortunate that the price increased so much, but with all other costs rising, it is what AF1 had to do.

If you're looking for an alternative... go with the S&B, which is now priced much less than the AF1.

We can do an expedited shipping for you, but it may be expensive. If you call me right now I can hurry up and get the order in and ordered through S&B today...we close at 6.

Give me a call on my cell 626-272-6322 if you cant get through the landline. I will be leaving here shortly after 6
