No problem. It's easy to take things the wrong way on forums. I was just being a smart A** with the tractor and flag stuff. Nothing personal.

I run straight pipes from the cats back with 4" tips out the back. It is really mild at an idle! It does start to snap pretty loud as the engin whines out. For my case I did get some pretty good volume, but no tone.

To address all this other stuff, I believe, exhaust is a MOD, and is very subjective to the owner of the car/truck! However, responsibility and respect is always needed. I will say my truck is pretty loud, but I respect my neighbors and they respect me!

ya the stock cats really muffle the exhaust pretty good. it wasn't untill i put on my high flow cat's that it got very loud at all. And it's still very quiet at idle. but when i want to romp on it and hear some power I can!

That is where the X pipe helps. Evens out the pressure for a nice tone.

As long as no one is stupid enough to drive a loud vehicle WOT in a residential neighborhood theres no problem with louder exhausts. Its whenever the driver feels like creating havoc. So why should us responsable people suffer. Its about being responsable. A straight piped F150 cruising down your road at 1:00am going 1200rpms will not wake anyone up unless they're listening for it.

as they say, loud pipes save lives.

Darren, thanks so much for the clarification but I think a few have already beaten you to it. I think we got it all cleared up now. I already apologized, my mistake.

I guess that is why you left your SIG out of the original comment you made. You remind me of a quote by DOC HOLIDAY. He said, "EVIDENTLY MY HIPOCRACY KNOWS NO BOUNDS."

I'm your huckleberry!

who dosen't go around quoting Doc Holiday?

I think the best line was by Wyatt Earp. "You going to do something,, or are you just going to stand there and bleed"?

Less you ever seen Tombstone? If not you should imediately go out and buy it! One of the best movies ever made!!

Check it out.

Oh and also. "Listen here.... Lawdog. Law don't go around here."

That movie is full of classic one liners.
