Paralyzer, i want to add a CAI but i too have an edge, for over 2 years now. Will mine adjust as yours has?

I just dont understand why it would run lean like a lot of other members are saying?? I thought the O2 sensor pick up the lean condition and compensate by making the mixture rich?

on an 05 you should be safe. some of the 04s had long terms that were ramping up from the factory which is when you would need a custom tune. my long term hits 7% at its highest spot which is nothing. also my dad has a airaid intake and edge on his 05 with no problems. just dont buy a huge intake like the AF1 3.5" and you should be fine.

I purchased an AEM Brute Force intake, and was planning on doing a write up for it, but then I remembered about this thread. This was an excellent write up. I think it should be moved to the "how to" section.

When we decided to get into intakes we looked at several brands and the AEM was the best build quality by FAR! The dry filter is so much easier to clean as well. And, any issue that arrises gets jumped on right away by the technical team they have. We have been very happy with them.

If you would like to see what we have for yor truck, wander on over to here and check it out.

Please give me a call if interested.

Thanks.

Proof that it should be in the How To section?

It was added this evening, title change is in the works.

I remember when this thread first came up. I still would like to get one of these intakes, they look so good and really clean up the engine bay nicely.

Great write-up. I wish I had gone with the AEM over the Airaid I got, oh well.

I ordered mine yesterday through AutoAnything.com. I got the Powdercoated Silver version instead of the Chrome. It was already a decent price on there, but the free shipping and memorial day discount pushed me to buy it. It came to $267.12 after tax. I can't wait to get it installed.

Very good write up! I installed an AEM on my '05 4.6L. It's my second kit, my first was on my last Ranger. I'll say that the new kit isn't as nice as my first, some of the hardware seemed a bit cheaper, but it works just was well.
