X2

I cant decide between this and the AFE system. The claim a little better numbers, I think its because they use a plastic intake tube, where AEM uses metal. I think the AEM looks better. Awesome write up, looks great. If the tube temperatures didnt change with material, I would get this one for sure.

Nice writeup indeed! I'm running a K&N 77 Series. Very similar to the AEM in looks. I've been very happy with mine.

good point

I originally thought the same thing... and thats what started my research on the available intakes out there. There's a lot of talk on this subject but not many articles, I did come across this on AEM's site http://aempower.com/Faqs.aspx?FaqCategoryID=18#16
Its a little bit of a longer read, but I spent some time and read the whole thing before dropping the funds.

BTW-
I am loving this intake! I absolutely love the way it sounds (and looks), I can feel the extra power. I still would like to monitor the mileage before reporting to you guys on it, so far so good though

I think im getting the brute force for sure. i was in 4 wheel parts a couple of days ago, and it was on the shelf and for some reason it sitting next to the afe made up my mind. it just looks better, and a lot of people ive talked to say it sounds better. the other reason was because of this thread. your pics and install helped me. update me on the performance when you get a chance.

I am in the market for a new intake, and I'm starting to lean more towards this same set up.
Nice Work!

Thanks for the helpful writeup, i think i want to go with this intake also. It looks great under the hood, which i am making my next priority (hate how cluttered and ugly it looks under the hood stock). Anybody find a good price for this thing website shopping yet??

Great install, looks great. Good to hear your positive feedback about it. I had been considering this intake for awhile, that & the S&B enclosed.
