long tubes will not fit to factory exhaust. they are too long compared to factory exhaust manifolds.. i too have the pacesetter long tubes and they fit great, sound awesome, and a big power difference.. i have a full 3" exhaust dumped under the rear axle with no cats and 3" dynamax bullets..listen to the video

OBX LT installed!

Took two and half hours to take off stock exhaust and put on obx long tube headers to my three inch magnaflow catback!

Sounds awsome!!!

Did not use header bolts, used stock studs and nuts that came with truck, worked great!

Did not have to take off starter, headers went right in! Did have to cut two holes on right side heatshield to pass wires threw. Bought two new oxgen sensors with the 18 inch wires for the front resonators, hooked right up!

Drove truck almost a 100 miles today! Did not lose low end torque and truck run great!

Took pictures of install when I get the time will post them.

Upgrades in process!

This is what I was wondering too a couple weeks ago.. The answer is yes and no. They will bolt right on, however, there is alot of other prep work involved, mostly with exhaust. The LT's will completely change your exhaust layout, so you will need to be prepared to hack it up completely or bring it to a shop for install. I recently bought pacesetter LTs and the list of what I also bought is:
New header gasket (the LT's come with them, but I heard they were not so great, so decided to get aftermarket gasket)
Stage 8 Locking header bolts (you don't need these exactly, but will need a new set of studs or some type of locking bolt to replace the stock ones that are likely rusty and worn)
2 Magnaflow high flow catalytic converters.. Figured the install would just be easier if i ripped out the 4 old cats and replaced them with smaller high flow units. There are lots of ways to go about it though, including, using your current rear cats (the front pre-cats will have to be removed, and are not necessary).
New 02 sensors
02 sensor extenders

I do alot of my own work on the truck, but honestly, have a million other projects going on and just wanted this one done for me.. so its currently in the shop, I just bought all the stuff and told them how I wanted it done. Crossing my fingers that it turns out well.

pacesetter header kits have wire in the kit you cut the o2 sensors and crimp more wire in to make them longer....If you run out of wire speaker wire works

Haha.. I'll let you know as soon as I pick mine up! I've heard of guys here paying around $300 for labor, which I would be happy with. They started working on my truck sat morning, and as of mon. night, still not quite done. Apparently all the time from saturday morning to mon late afternoon was just getting the old rusted headers off.. alot of broken header bolts that took a long time to extract. So with that in mind, the better condition your truck is in to begin with the cheaper it will be. I'm actually pretty concerned at this point, not wanting a $600 bill or higher from them -- we didn't talk about it before hand, really. Picking it up tomorrow though, so I'll post about the entire install then.

Ok 4WD, finally got my truck back... and the labor cost, drum roll please.. $600 buckaroos.. They wanted $720, got them to knock it down. About the install, as I said, my manifolds were really rusted, and I know that atleast 5 bolts broke and were hard to get out. In addition, the oil dipstick tube was rusted through and broke when it was removed, and needed welding back together. I didn't supply them with a new Y pipe so they had to make a few small welds and add some pipe to get it to fit. He claimed 7-8 hours, which is on par with what some other people said it took them for a difficult install. Honestly, I thought that they would be able to do it more efficiently than the guys here, since they had a full shop available to them and claimed to have experience doing it. But it is what it is, and was happy they atleast knocked of a hundred or so bucks.. Now time to bring my old cats to a scrap yard and hope to get a good price on them.

The truck sounds great, I'm happy with the install, not too loud, it is definatly at the limit of what I would wnat though, as I'm pretty conservative about that stuff. Acceleration is dramatically different, especially in the 40 -70mph range. I had a code when I brought it in for the install, which I assumed was me fooling with the 02 sensors. The code cleared as I was driving home from the shop, so very excited about that.
Can anyone tell me how to post pictures in a mesage??!
