High flows will make your exhaust louder. Replace all 4 cats with 2 Magnaflow #94306.

The Magnaflow cats will make it much louder, helping the crackle. If you have 2.25" xhaust tailpipes and small tips that will help too.

Dont mean to hi-jack, but I heard that scrap yards are offering $200 a pop for old cats (due to the metal in them) and with 4 of them, couldn't you use that $800 you made, buy two high-flows for $55 each, and bascially say you were paid to add horsepower? Why isnt everyone doing this?

I haven't ever heard of someone getting $200 per cat. Jbrew just got $160 for all 4 which is the highest I've heard. I'm sure you could probably hold out for $200 for all 4 if you go to the right place. Possibly a bit more.

You could drop all of the cats and get O2 sims. I like the idea of staying legal. Never know when it might become a problem.

yeah no way you're getting 200 a pop for them, if you find someone willing to do give this price let me know, I've got 4 to take off and there's alot of F150s hanging out at my apartment complex so I may need to do some cutting work

Not quite.. So far, for the record: One guy got $160 at a scrap place. One guy got $200 off Ebay. One guy got $50 bucks and feels screwed.

Jbrew posted the link in his post on this page under "recycled cats" or something like that, but it has the going rates on recycling.. seems like if you get anywhere from $160 - $200 for ALL 4, your doing very well.

Well I heard it on the news not too long ago. Ppl were going under SUV's at night and selling them for $200 a pop. But this idea still seems economical if high-flow cats add HP.

Back to the topic. Get the high flow cats, it will make your truck louder. I would say at least twice as loud with the high flows.

I would not gut the cats for two reasons, 1. Hi-Flow cats sound better and clearer. 2. You can get some good cash for your stock 4 cat system now.
