forget shorty headers. get long tubes or save your money.

I was about to ask the same question. I'm not worried about power. I just need to replace the driver side manifold and for the price ($134.50 from summit) it's almost cheaper to go with the shortys. Anyone used these?

If you need to replace manifolds for any reason, shortys will work for that reason.

Yeah if replacing original manifolds, its worth getting the shorties. But dont expect the major power/sound gains from them.

I read that few people have had trouble with the summits due to the egr tube. Can anyone confirm why they don't work right. My local parts guy can get the pacesetter shortys for $220. Is there anything else in this price range?

Yeah, auto parts warehouse has long tubes for $233, just have to do the egr reducer mod and they will fit. They would be much better than shortys anyday.
