true duals?
true duals?
hey i was wondering... what kind of power difference is there in a true dual set up and a SI/DO set up... i kno. whata noob question. lol thanks for the help (hey... at least im not double posting
)
)
ive been told by mant its either like 2 horsepower or there is no power diff at all...i was told by every single shop here locally in my town(liek 5 shops i asked) they all said that there is no difference true dual will be a little louder......my friend has the exact same truck as mine we both have the same company exhaust except mine is si/do and his is true dual and his is just barley louder than mine.
no exhaust system alone will add or take away enough hp for you to actually notice on your truck. just get one that sounds good. you need to do cai,tuner,and exhaust to really make a difference. if you just want it to be loud just take off the muffler and dump it.

ok... second question (since there are performance [and sound] benefits)
about how much is this gunna be? lol i hav the 5.5 bed 3V 5.4L. (i'd prefer to put magnaflow's on it... but it can't be obnoxiously loud.... my nieghborhood flips **** bout stuff like that)

the X-pipe will run you about 100, 2 Magnaflow mufflers 100ea, then pipe and tips if you want them + labor
rough estimates of course
cost me right at 650 to cut the stock Magnaflow cat-back off and install the X-pipe 2 Spintech Pro Streets and tips in front of passenger tire...

k im assuming me putting this together is a pretty bad idea... am i right? (and btw shuld i put hi flo cats on here along with that or is that overkill... im thinkin it can't hurt)
My setup was $160, and i'm about to order a maggie x and 2 14" mufflers for $180, so the setup after the tips will run me around $300, i'm going to cut 2 of the 4 cats off and not worry about the high flows.
you can buy the mufflers, X-pipe, high flow cats, and tips; take it to your local muffler shop and get them to weld it all up for you... and you can add some LT headers why your at it... I'm living in Ca at the moment so high flows and LTs are off limits for me
