another exhaust question.............

Ok, I have a flowmaster exhaust with two pipes coming out of the back, size 2.5"; I want to cut the pipes off and put turn downs instead. So If the existing pipe is 2.5" and Im going to be sawing off the pipes right after the muffler, what size should the turn downs be? I looked at orielly and all they have are 2-1/4" turn downs????? Sorry if this is a dumb question, Im pretty new to all this.
