running two 10 series will be quiter than your single 10 series- 8 cylinders into 1 muffler versus 4 cylinders into 1 muffler

275 for true duals,no mufflers, but he wouldnt do it on my 07 screw. something about theres not enough room to get piping around the gas tank on the drivers side? i think he just didnt wanna work on a truck with 500 miles on it.

You could go with a Gibson Dual Extreme Cat back. They are pretty loud. This is what I'm going to after winter. Getting rid of my slowmaster.

The reason your slowmaster isn't loud is the model of slowmaster you have. Get a 40 or a super 44 si/do with 4 or 5" tips. You'll need some ear plugs. LOL

reread post 2-2 mufflers for 8 cylinders vs 1 muffler for all 8 cylinders-on my true dual exhaust with the two smallest magnaflow mufflers it s quieter than the sido magnaflow catback with 30" muffler

The 10 series is not a strait through muffler. You might be referring to the outlaw series. Check it out, http://www.flowmastermufflers.com/race.html

If you want tone, and loudness, go with the Super 44 si/do. Like stated before, 8 cylinders in 1 muffler is louder than 4cylinders in 1 the same size.

I understand that they are not a straight through muffler, i said they are "basically" a straight through muffler. their single chamber mufflers, louder than two..

LMAO. UNDERSTOOD. "Basically", slowmaster claims that the super 44 is the loudest muffler they have "EVER" made.

To each their own. This is your truck, and, you will do with it what you want. Just don't get mad when we laugh as you drive by. LOL (jk)

I still stress, si/do will be louder. The science is all in the tips you use. My 4.6 is louder than a few 5.4's here in my area.

I wish you luck.

you are wrong bud. i have a super44 si/do, and yes it is pretty loud, but a 10 series is way louder. you are comparing single chamber vs 2 chambers. Yes, the super44 is the loudest "street" muffler flowmaster has ever built. The 10 series is a "race" muffler, not a "street" muffler.

To whoever said the 10 series is straight through, wrong again. and it is not "basically" straight trough just becuase it is small, it still has baffles that re-direct the airflow to amplify sound.

To the Original Poster: if the 10 series isnt loud enough for you, then you will not find a muffler out there that is. Just cut it off and run straights.
