Does anyone out there use the Banks power system on their F-150? I am interested in the use of the otto mind programer, Ram air intake, Stinger dual exhaust, and torque tubes all from Gale banks. I wanted to get some feedback on this. I am new to this site and looking forward to some answers.

Get a Troyer custom tune or any other custom tunes. Banks products are very high priced.

I have been going back and forth between the Banks Power Pack and the custom tune route.

If you ended up going with a Corsa exhaust (which is more expensive), SCT w/ Troyer Tune, AF1 intake, the cost is close.

The Banks system measures 45 RWHP on a dyno that is loaded to simulate real road conditions as I understand it. Not sure at how the dyno is setup to get the numbers with the custom tune.

I am totally not trying to start anything here, but I have really done my homework and searched this site as well as others, however, it still is not clear which direction is best.

I know a lot of folks on this board have some variance of Troyer or VMP setup, but would like to here from the Banks folks as well.

I heard that the Banks programmer is set up for the intake and exhaust...so it keeps you with in the correct air fuel levels. I have been thinking of ditching the Superchips for the Banks....but it had better work...lol

Banks pricing
Just wanted to let folks know what the pricing really is on Banks gear, at least the Stinger package for my 5.4l.

The package included exhaust, intake and programmer with several tunes, but not "custom" tunes, direct from Banks. I can get you the sales persons number if you'd like.

$1362 plus shipping for a total of $1465 to my door.

Compair that to Troyer, at about $1150 with custom tunes, but you have to wait 7 weeks for them.

Not sure what I'm going to do yet but thought I would share.

Generic tunes or Custom, made for your truck tunes? I think i could wait, or you could get custom edge tunes from Bill, but thats up to you. Gale does good quality stuff, but he likes his name better than anyone I know, If it is about the name, go with him, but I wouldn't spend that kind of money on it IMAO.

The tunes are not custom to each person like you could get from Troyer but the Banks are different tunes for different fuels (87, 91, etc) and different performance levels.

Yea they are different levels, but each level is one setting, all trucks are not made the exact same, if they come with different calibration codes from the factory for a reason, a "universal" calibration is not near as effective, even with diff. octane levels. But you pay for what you get, if you want your truck to run average, get a base tuner, but for a little more get custom tunes for YOUR vehicle, YOUR mods, and YOUR driving style. I would reccommend Edge, Bill is a member and he is the only custom tuner for edge, everyone says he is great.

I have an 04 f150 super cab and I will be purchasing the Banks PowerPack in the next couple of months. I like the Banks system better than anything else I have seen because the components are meant to work with each other. I called Banks directly and asked about the system and they said it increases power on the F150 up to 50 hp and 50 foot lbs of torque. It is also cheapest to buy through Banks directly. If you go to their site you can get the number. They also don't charge shipping or sales tax.

I have had the Stinger system installed for about a month or so, it runs great. I went with Banks for the same reason - it is designed to work together. Fit and finish was perfect and installation instructions made the job easy.

Totally woke up my truck - well worth the $1200.

What if you ever decided to go with efans, pullies or something else down the road? With the banks tuner there would be no adjusting at all where as with an xcal3 or gryphon you get custom tunes for additional mods down the road to maximize hp.
