Cold Air or NO Cold Air

Iam looking to jack up my H,P. and was thinking about putting in a cold air intake system with a high flow air filter. Iam kinda on a budget so I was looking for the most efficent way to increase power without draining my wallet. Any tips on how to do this would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Guys!

a cold air is a good way to start. you might find some deals on ebay. most cold air intakes run about $150 to $300.

Also check the classifieds on this site. I picked up my Air force one in the classifieds here.

AF1 here from ebay under $80 shipped. If you get one of those no names from ebay one thing that bothers me about those is the coatings on the inside of the pipes. I'd be concern about if 3 years down the road its flaking....

Is why I got a brand-name with chrome plated pipe.....LIFETIME WARRANTY baby!

as for the OP.....I think the CAI kit is the most bang for your buck that you will ever put in your truck....guaranteed! dunno about AF1 or those others, but I love my K&N Series-77 and is def. the most useful item my truck has ever seen in its 10 year 2 day life...

I'm telling you dude, save for a week or two (come on, one paycheck got mine and I'm 16 living off minimum wage!) and get one, you will NOT regret it. if you get one and dont like it, ill buy u a plane ticket and ill let you slash my tires im that confident!

Or, instead of the plane ticket, get him a tuner That should make him happy.

i noticed alot of power from taking off the clutch fan and putting on E-fans. if i ever want to add instant HP to the next truck i get its the frist thing i will do. frist time out i could feel my truck at WOT pushing me in the seat. i also have a cold air and exhuast but this was the most notiable chage i did. would highly reccomend this frist. kits run 300-500 bucks got mine used for 70. my junk yard has any E-fans there for 30 bucks so try that if you want but you never know what those have been threw.
