Question Optons for side-exit exausts?

I'm noticing that many of the performance exhausts have dual rear exits. I don't really like that look. What are the options out there for side exits (behind the rear tires)?

Also, what's really the performance benefit of a cat-back on a late-model 5.4L? Will it actually get me another mpg? Or is it pretty much just show and sound on a stock-motored truck?

You could have a shop install one of our mufflers (Single In/Dual Out) and have that installed behind the tire.

Well, the combination of a CAI and a good exhaust system will help your truck breathe better. With that, you "may" increase gas mileage a little. The big thing you will notice though is an increase in performance. You'll be surprised how restricted our trucks are!

Do what I'm in the process of doing, replace the factory Y with a Magnaflow X pipe followed by 2 Magnaflow SI/SO mufflers running the tips wherever you want. Depending where you are located, you can also do long tube headers and replace the factory cats with high flows. You should see about 30 rwhp if you do all that.

Recommend a particular muffler(s)?

Also, if I have a shop do the install, what size of pipes do I need downstream of the muffler?

What size is it upstream of the cat-back?

Just drill through the tank Shifty, It will give you more clearance too. Just make sure you weld it up real good on the ends! Added bonus:it will take less money to fill up!

Could you section the top of your existing tank onto the Bronco Tank? Moving that much weight a couple feet back would help get some wicked launches. It would be a lot of work but with a Plasma cutter and a welder anything is possible.
