I installed my Roush legal system last night. It sounds sweet! Although for you guys looking for loud, definately go with the off-road, not the legal. If stock is a "1" on a scale of 1-10, then the Roush legal is probably a 3 or so, unless you're really laying into it, when it gets loud. But the tone is really deep and 'gurgly'. Its exactly what I wanted. I will try to get some sound clips up tomorrow...

Will be anxiously waiting for your clip. Listened to the off road and its a little too harsh for me. I want a little rumble but dont wanna sound like a jet goin over. Price wise this system seems the best deal with good quality to go along with it.

Do you have the legal or off-road?

I haven't towed in a couple of years. I'm sure it'll be pretty loud if I do. The legal kit is probably much better in that regard.

That is one reason I have the Legal System, I occasionally tow a John Deere Diesel, & did not want to be annoying when I pull into the neighborhood......

I really, really like the sound of my 5.4 with no muffler at all. Loud and raspy upon cold start up, and still nice and loud once she's warmed up. I don't know what's different about the Roush package, if it's something to do with the muffler or just the name, but I don't think it'll be too loud. But that depends on your opinion of too loud.

Sounds clips - legal

Ok, here, finally, is a sound clip of my Roush legal system. The clip doesn't do it full justice obviously. Only problem is my mileage has gone down a lot, because its sounds so good when you jump on it

I did also tow my boat home today, and while it was somewhat louder than stock, was still quite tolerable.

is the off road kit made with tips that point to the side instead of out the back? i like that look better, plus it is better for towing.
