Flowmaster vs Magnaflow

I did.
Well i have never had a catback so i can't really say on that.I have had 2 true duel systems. The first was with flowmasters and i ended up losing significant low end power over stock exhaust.I do agree that i picked up alot of top end power over stock exhaust but that isn't where i wanted it.I swapped the flows for 14in maggies and it pulls better than ever.I gained all low end back and then some and it still pulls great up top.
I also agree that the maggies sound better.
IMO after feeling the power dif i will never put another flowmaster on my truck!!!!

How many threads are there on this topic now, 24K? The "proven" dyno results that never manage to appear here on any of these threads that claim this that and the other seem to be more myth than anything. How many claims on just this post alone mention but don't show dyno proven results? There isn't going to be any noticable difference. Anyone that claims that big a difference just doesn't understand its all mental. Personally, I find the straight through design muffler to sound like crap. They tend to have more popping raspy noise than other designs. Flowmaster pretty well invented the exhaust system revolution, and have continued that throughout its history, and a company like that doesn't make their money loosing you power. And at its introduction, magnaflow was an off the shelf Pep Boys muffler. I know this cause I bought one years and years ago, and it was a rotten POS. I've never had a flowmaster fail, and I have put them through absolute hell. Go with what you want, but you're not gonna gain excess MPG, excess HP, or any other thing worth the money

Well i put the flows on and my truck wouldn't spin the tires by punching it anymore when it did stock.
I put maggies on and it will spin the tires easily again, thats proof for me
Like i said thats with true duels and i can't say on a catback
Not going to argue about but i know how my truck ran with both systems and no i didn't dyno it

Felt the difference on mine and it was real. With the heavy a@@ trucks the way they are, I wouldn't risk any low end torque loss, no matter how small you boys think it will be.

Correct, you won't gain EXCESS but you will gain some. I gained right at 1.5 MPG with my Magnaflow swap (from stock). I know I gained SOME HP & TQ also.
