it looks really badass, better than the other electric cutouts i've seen. i like how its got the "maintainance free" design, and the 4 year replacement warranty...ive been looking for a cutout, and i think im leaning more towards this one!

Thanks for the link, that's great. I've never seen those (only seen manual where you have to un-cap them).

I had a e-cut out on my old car(dodge srt-4) it was nice, i liked the ability to open the cutout and it be loud as hell, then i could close it and sound normal. If you have forced induction, you def. can notice a power gain i dont know about NA though.

I've heard a couple people on here having some problems with their electric cut out, not opening or closing all the way. I picked up a manual cutout from summit for like 28 bucks and I love it. I keep it uncaped all the time except when I'm on a road trip. It's really no hassel at all, it takes 1 min to open or close it. I love mine and wouldn't change it for the world. Hope this helps.

So are these things more for the HP or for the sound?

Yeah unless you have a heavily modified engine they're mainly for sound.

I agree with final day. Buy a manual one, or have an exhaust shop fab you one up. I have a manual cutout and it literally takes no effort to open and close it.
