Hey built, not trying to steal your post here, but I saw something about this mentioned earlier in this thread.

You or OpenClassPro should be able to tell me pretty well.
On a mostly stock truck such as mine, as far as power (not really a gain in power, but more a loss of power) you dont think going with true duals and the Maggy muffler with internal X pipe would be any worse than a SI/DO maggy muffler?
I would think the true duals with internal X muffler would kill my low end compared to a SIDO setup...? Thoughts?

So you used an X pipe as far forward as you could, then used two mufflers, one on each side, correct?

Thank you sir

Allright guys they're on!!!!I have only put 50 miles on it but here's what i think. At take of it has a deeper tone than the flows did A smoother and throaty sound.Everyone that has heard it says it louder than it was before. At about 60-70mph its not very loud so good there. At speeds from 75 up gets really loud while cruising so that may not be good for long trips. The other thing is in the upper RPMs it remains very deep and does not cackle like the flows did.Seat of pants feels to have picked up low end power and mid range over the flows. All in all i am pretty happy with the sound of them I honestly think they are just as loud or louder than the flows. The flows still were louder way up in the RPMs though. It's friggin loud and sounds great!!!
Bartak, depending on how loud you want you may want to think about the 18in
Built54,i think your truck would sound great with your headers and cats but the 14s may be to loud w/ your set up.You may want to try that longer X-muffler or a longer round one
Edit.....Definately more power. It spins the tires easily now.Never would with flows!!
If i had it to do over again i would try the 18in,for a little less noise
added pics to album

Looking good, thanks for the review.

I might try a 2.25 inch setup with X pipe.
Not sure about mufflers. My last pickup had true duals with 12 inch glasspacks...I would THINK my older one would have been louder, but I dont know. I like to know its there, but I dont like overly loud...living in a small town everyone (including the cops ) know exactley where your at with overly loud exhuast..which isnt good for me!

Would you happen to have any sound clips or anything Kevin?
Thanks!

No problem,i will add a x-pipe soon also.I don't know of anyone with a newer ford running true duels? It is way louder than i expected, which is cool but sucks on long trips.I can prob do a sound clip, what does everyone use for making a sound clip one easily?
