Side or Rear Exhaust

Hey,
I was debating on weither to get the side exit (right in front of the passenger rear tire) or normal dual rear exit. Are there any performance/sound disadvantages/advantages to the side exit because thats what i really want but if it sounds wierd i will not get it. I was just wondering. Also I have links below to what i want to get a shop to install for me.

Muffler- http://www.performancepeddler.com/de..._ID=FLO9530452

Thanks Alot,

i have side exit but i did it after the tire so the exhaust doesnt blow all over my chrome rims when riding down the highway. eventhough its a new truck i still think it keeps the rims a lot cleaner

I had the stock side exit in front of the rear wheel on a 97, and I had no problems with exhaust dust, although I did not have chrome wheels.

I have the Magnaflow 16616 side exit on my 06.

Dont go side

Ford trying going side exhaust one of the years with there trucks. I think it was late 90's not 100% sure. Anways all that **** coming outa ur pipe on the side shoots straight on your tire and rim. And above ur pipe on the body ull start to see grime building up. Like i mean they look nice and i no lots of ppl that have them that seem to be doing the trick. But id just go out the back so ur not messin with ur ride.

Straight out the back looks really good, dual side exit ( one on each corner behind the wheel ) looks really good on trucks that are 4x4'd out

Side Lightning style. No problems, no mess. Never had any mess on my '97 for ten years either. Out the back is ok, if you're looking for the VW bug look

i would go straight out the back, i just dont like the look of the side exit in front of the tire unless it's a lightning.
