Ditto

Put mine on today and it is pretty awesome. Even with stock exhaust it sounds sweet. Can't wait to get the exhaust done now. My Edge is on the big brown truck arriving tomorrow.

what i was talking about is that on S&B's website they list a cold air intake and a performance intake. the cold air is more expensive. the picture looks just like what you got though. when i called to check on my order today, they said the one i ordered wasn't released to the public yet, it will go out tomorrow or monday. i'm just lost about the whole deal????

If you have 04 models, S&B is re working the design of the tube to fit properly. Apparently Ford did change engine compartment from 05 on so anyone with 04 will get newly re worked/designed intake system, which should be shipped out by Monday. I'm waiting for my unit too.

What made you pick the S&B over the Volant?

Hey Canno... I did the same; ordered and called few days later cause didnt get any notice of tracking #. Upon contacting them, customer rep transfer me to another person who told me all this new event w/i. I'll be the first one to try out newly mod intake, I dont think it is that different than 05 and up model since only thing was some sort of obstruction issue with driver headlight area with tube or the box (just slight appearance change). Anyhow, I can't wait until I get it. I think combo with my Borla and Edge-Evo will be awesome.

after doing research on the turbulance of the air that travels through the volant, i noticed that it doesn't produce a vortex effect which results in power loss. The numbers show it.

ACTUALLY, i have no idea, i liked the way the S&B looked

FX4life, how long did it take for the install? I've been looking at the S&B intakes, and by reading your review, I think I'll go with it

Hardly an hour, with the instructions (very detailed and color pics) its hard to not get it done quick. My biggest pain was the siren for my alarm, I had to move it twice. Other than that very easy, fast and straight forward.

He did tell me that my 40 series flowmaster was not the best buy I should have gone with the Mega...darn it o well its on there now have to make the best out of it.

To each his own, I personally dont like "open filters". How much power are you goin to gain just from these intakes alone? Im goin to have to say its probably not a huge gain with any intake, but these intakes do make a difference however slight it may be. As long as i have protection and better airflow than stock, the power i gained can just be a bonus in my book.

Amen bro. I'm sure almost every intake is close on actual hp gains regardless of what is posted about dyno's. Which at best are tuning tools, and trust me I know since I have spent big $$ on buildling a high hp Raptor atv motor. But the S&B is a complete package in intakes, and it's made me more then happy.
