Openpro, I do need to put a piece of tubing inside the cats. I'm getting a horrible sound from the cats at idle when in gear. It is NOT an exhaust leak, we've looked for it many times.

Chester, my Edge takes care of the CEL in 2 seconds. It hasn't come on since Friday, and I've driven over 200 miles since then. If I have to shut the light off once a week, then I'm happy with it.

2000, I gutted both of my cats. If you can weld, then it'll be easy for you. Cut the rear cats off leave the front cats on, take a crowbar, screwdriver, etc, and have at the insides of them. Weld it all back up.

Thumbs up

The power was too much for the camera!!! Sounds mean. Does it drone in the cab? I just replaced the stock muffler on my 06' with a 40 series FM, and it sounds awesome. I can't imagine how BA it would be with open cats.

It doesn't drone too bad, but I haven't towed anything with it yet. I really don't care about the drone, cause I always have the music cranked up when I'm driving. There has only been ONE time that I have hated my exhaust, and that was on the way back from the lake. I was towing my boat, and my dad was in the truck with me. He hates loud music.

Haha... My dad hates my exhaust too. He hasn't noticed the cats yet, but he's only seen it once since then. Come to think of it, I think he hates my whole truck.

I know our trucks have the cats AND pre-cats... What all do the pre-cats consist of? Are they just like the regular cats?

Edit: Zaairman: What muffler do you have, if any?
