cat back exhaust

From what i understand as long as you don't touch the cats you will not void the warranty. I am looking into purchasing a magnaflow cat back siso.
thank you

I agree. My local Ford service manager told me the same thing, however it never hurts to ask your local Ford service manager.

My close friend is a GM for a Ford dealer, and his inlaws own the place, and he says that the exhaust will definitely not void the warranty. I wouldn't advise treating the service advisors poorly though because they will remember it and might give you a hard time later if you have mods of any sort.

There is always the chance that a dealer will give you a hard time for no reason but just to reitorate, my buddy says that after market exhausts DO NOT void the warranty.

I've got the Magnaflow SIDO exhaust on my 05 5.4 screw....I love it.

I had a friend with a toyota something or other (tacoma I think) and he had a dealer installed borla system on his truck. WHen the cats failed at 30000 miles, he had to jump through loops to get it warrantied, because they said an aftermarket exhaust voided the warranty. That was, until he provided the original sales sheet where it showed a dealer installed borla system
