I love the sound
Hey 05 SilverFX4,

Can't believe I never saw these videos earlier. A very big THANK YOU, goes to you for taking the time to show how to do this install and posting the videos. I think you've made up my mind for me. I think I'm going to go with the SIDO Magnaflow but with a 24" muffler instead of the 18". Hopefully it'll keep sound down just a little. Which one of those video clips do you thinks best describes the sound you hear going down the highway at 75?

Thanks again,

Duke

Very nice job. I'm thinking of getting that same kit for my 05 Flareside. How much did the coupon take off?

F150 Duke: At 75 you will hear almost nothing. once you go into overdrive (>45) the sound drops off to just above stock. If you have the radio on you wont even hear it.

Etch: around $89.00

Hmm.. Don't see a place for the coupon on the online ordering. Did you order online or by phone?

Awesome! Geese what would I do without your reviews? Any opinion or knowledge as to whether a 24" version would hurt performance or bring it below stock level in terms of performance?

Thanks, that makes all the effort worth while.

I've never seen or heard the 24", (but I did stay at a Holiday Inn last night ) but its still a straight through design so it should flow very close to the 18" just a little quieter. I'm sure you would like it.

Haha, I laughed so hard when I read that. That holiday bit is so funny to me. Thanks again. I think the 24" SIDO will be my christmas present in december.

I really need to put a remote starter on the truck before it gets much colder out. Today will be the last day we see 60 for a long time.

Got my Magnaflow catback yesterday.. started the install today. Having some difficulty with the rear most hangers that Maganflow supplied. The towing receiver is in the way and of course the first thing the instructions say is that the catback system may not fit on vehicles with OEM towing receiver. Going to take it over to my friend's house and put it up on a lift to see what I can do.

Take a look at this photo. The reciever Bolts to the outside of the frame. Mount the new hangers on the inside. You have to remove the spare to have room. The spare still works, just move it for working room. I have the towing package too. Good luck

Was that hole already there? Does that do anything to the position that the pipes hang out the back? I mean like do they still look symetrical.
