I've had both Magnaflow and Flowmaster. Magnaflow was definitely louder from 500 to 5000 rpms. The Flowmaster only seems loud when I get on it. Both sound nice. The flowmaster has a better cruising noise level, easier to hear the radio. I would think Magnaflow would have better performance just because of the way they are built (straight through) but without dynos on the same exact truck at the same exact temperatures (air & engine) who knows?

I switched out my SI/SO Flowmaster recently to a DI/SO Flowmaster. This eliminated the restrictive factory Y-pipe, gave me dual pipes into the muffler and a 3" tailpipe. Happy with the results and sound.

Hi you guys 1st post.

Imported a complete system into UK from JDM with headers for my 2004 lighting along with other tuning parts.
The old system is scrap and well on it's way to Japan to make another Honda.

Awesome sound and easy to fit even without a 4 point lift.

Helped me win fastest street EFi class at Shakespere County Raceway
Beat up a few vettes and mussies too with a 13.37 @ 103.7
Not bad on street tyres.
It will be in the 12s soon.

A few Porshe & BMW owners have been returning to the dealer to ask why a pickup truck has blown their doors off....

The guys at JDM have been very helpfull when you consider the distance as I am in London UK

800 dollars for exhaust is completely ridiculous. Testing has shown that you're going to gain the the same power from a 400 dollar Magnaflow catback. There's no need to spend 800 bucks.

Hey, no problem.

I only mentioned it because I have read many comments about droning or resonating.

I realize the other stuff is cheaper,

It's not always about the flow or the cost, well.. for me anyway.
Actually for me it's never about cost, its about getting what I want. What I don't want is to take out a date that's getting a headache from my resonating exhaust.

I know magnaflow makes good stuff if you buy the stainless steel muflers but if you got the same thing in the alumminized welded cheap stuff then they stink.. The rule for Magnaflow is don't get the cheap stuff.

Borla is a bit spendy but great sound, I love the borla sounds on GM products but have to ask about these Fords

I have to ask because I don't know, that is what the board and this post is all about.. How is the borla? does it drone or resonate in the cabin?

later,

Magnaflow Lightning Exhaust

I just put the Magnaflow cat-back exhaust designed after the SVT Lightning. What a sound, and pretty good performance, goes pretty good with my TRUE-FLOW intake.

exhasut

take it to a local shop and either get a flowmaster or magnaflow with dual
3inch stainless tips out the back or whatever you prefer. Make sure you get stainless tips otherwise they are gonna rust like hell. It will sound good and look good at the same time, prob for under $400.

Can someone post a sound clip of the IMCO extreme one chamber? I have a single 40 series flowmaster right now but i am thinking about re-doing my exhaust. Thanks for any help.
