6cyl

I'm assuming it is a 6cyl...you can add true dual but is illegal in all 50 states whether your state employs the sniffer or not decides the likely hood of getting caught. But you still would not want 1/2 your cyls. with a cat. and the other 1/2 open...Would be a Bad, Bad set up. plus would still through a code the the OBDII making you check engine light stay on permentaley.

Very Dual ... er, Cool

Thanks for all your help guys. I have the 5.4 chipped. I think I'm leaning toward dawg's setup. Sounds pretty sweet ... literally. Thanks again!

Exhausted

Sorry for the confusion. I was at the exhaust shop the other day asking about exhaust and the guy was nice enough to take me into the shop. They had a Ram on the lift (boo, hiss) having some duals put in. It seemed that set-up had only one cat, but I might have been just seeing things. I was under my truck just a bit ago and did see the two cats. Magnaflows behind the cats ... onward! Thanks fore the help!

On the Dole

Thanks Dole!

Are you pleased with the sound? Performance gains, if any?

Go with true duels. You'll be glad you did. Much louder.

Truthfully I really dont know what the purpose of SI/DO is other than cosmetic or maybe a mellower sound than a SI/SO. To me it's like intalling a Nos bottle or even worse a fake Nos bottle and never hooking it up...Or a blower, turbo, or any other performance part and not hooking it up..or only hooking it 1/2 up...Whats the point? Youve already paid for 1/2 the pipe top complete the job...flip for the rest to finish it. Thats just me though.

I do notice more torque at the 3 to 4000 RPM Range. It is louder than I thought it would be....If I had it to do all over again I'd probably get slightly longer muffler to dampen the sound...The shorter muffler is louder....I think. Anyway in the end I love it!! Now I can't wait for my air intake and programmer.

I just got back from the Casino in Tunica Mississippi. I lost my ****, and had to come home with my tail between my legs. Shoulda, just talked the old lady into buying each other Anniversary presents with the dough we spent, and called it good. lol

anyway...

PPS-MAG,

Hey man I agree, I guess everyone gets caught up in the SI/DO idea with out really thinking about it. You are right though...just spring for the extra few feet of pipe, and the extra hole in the muffler and there you are.

Dolemite,

Nice setup I'm kinda dizzy after looking at your exhaust pics now. FLIP THOSE DUDES!!! hehe

Ragarm,

Good luck on those pipes man, keep us posted (hopefully with pics) of your progress!!!

Question Hey Dawg!

I'm getting ready to pull the trigger on new exhaust. Can I ask where you got your Magnaflows? PN 12225, right? Thanks for any help.

My local muffler shop/magnaflow dealer had them. They were $60/ea. I haven't heard of anyone else getting them cheaper than that, so you may or may not get the same deal. GOOD LUCK!!

Cool

Thanks dawg!

I saw those Magnaflows on hotexhaust for under $60. $58.95 or something like that. Of course, I'm sure ya gotta figure in shipping. Thanks for all your help on this.
