I have a 03 f150 (4.6) with a SI/DO 40 seriese and am going to put straight duals on instead. I have heard that the farther forward the mufflers go the louder the sound. Is this true?

 

yea ive heard that the closeer the mufflers are to the engine they louder it will be but i cant confirm that. If you want a good sound, cut that crappy flowmaster out of there and run true duals off your stock converters and run pipe out with no mufflers. Sounds great trust me youll love it!
