The K&N alone is good, the kit makes it better. Both increase HP, the kit = more. The best bang for you buck is the SuperChip. That will put the most HP in your pocket more than a filter or an exhaust system.
I drool when thinking of adding a Flowmaster 50 series though.......and an Airaid with a K&N.....too bad I have a mortgage, kids in school, college to save for....ah well...
Read the "Computer Chips" section.

Next - Airaid PIFK.
Later - Exhaust.

Here is my testimony. I timed my truck on a lonely stretch of road between two signs about .2 mile apart. Before the filter: 14.9-15.0 seconds. After the filter: 14.55-14.65 seconds. At this time the only aftermarket component in my truck was the K&N (no airbox mod). This time difference was only the filter.
