Post Which Flowmaster?

I just bought a 2000 F-150 s/c flairside with the 4.6. I want to put a flowmaster catback but was not sure which muffler to get, the 40 2 chamber or the 50 3 chamber.
I want something pretty loud but without that drown inside of the cabin. Can you still talk to the person next to you with the 2 chamber muffler and not have to yell? Or should i get the 3 chamber muffler?

Thanks for any help

I've got two Flowmaster 40's ready to be installed. (Were supposed to be installed before Floyd, which is why I had already modified my signature.)

How does the sound of those compare to glasspacks? (I currently have glasspacks.)

I have a Flowmaster 40 series two chamber with dual out pipes out the back. It sounds great, louder than stock, but definately not loud enough to make you speak up to the passenger! In the cabin, you could tell it's not factory, but abosuletly not loud in the cabin. I think it sounds like an F-150 SHOULD sound like. It's low, a little rumbly, I would say about 30-40% louder than
factory, which is pretty quiet. Go for the 40, you will regret getting a 50 if you want something kinda loud and nice sounding. A 50 is barely louder than factory, a sweet sound, but quiet.

Thanks to all for your info. I am probably going to install the 40's because I know I would regret getting the 50 "too quiet". Today I heard a truck with the same setup as mine, he had the 2 chamber and it sounded great.
Thanks again for your info.
