Ford Man,
I ordered the Side swept alumninized. The part number is: 319655. Where is Coastal High Performance? And phone number? I may end up cancelling my order!! I'll have to contact them to see how much shipping would be to Vegas. Thanks for the info!

Jim Mc,
The Sport Truck setup sounds like what I might be looking for. How's the pricing compared to the Super Truck kit? I like that it places the tips behind, rather then in front, of the rear tire. Thanks

I chose the Flowmaster DOR Kit 17222 Force II. I was not shopping for the lowest price but went with a system that provided no resonance in the cab at 60mph, super deep rumble standing and a head turning sound through the gears from the signs/lights. Ordered and installed $375. Sure you can get it cheaper if you work the shops. I'm satisfied. I may have saved $60-$70 to shop around, but than again, I love my 25K truck and happy with my choice. It's only a personal preferance.

I just installed the Gibson Swept Side (#319608). The fit and finish are excellent, the instructions are clear and concise. There is no increase in interior noise levels and little increase outside. (Frankly, I thought it would be a little louder, but I'm not complaining). One could do far worse by purchasing anything else; when I inquired about the many different systems available where I purchased the Gibson system, Everybody who works there said that the Gibson was the best choice (they sell Dynomax and Flowmaster systems as well). Time will tell, but for now, I whole-heartedly agree.

Cruzer,
Haven't heard any yet, and that's up through 80 m.p.h. :-) The disclaimer is that I installed the muffler with the "inlet" toward the head pipe (louvers toward the front).

Cruzer,
I have a Jardine catback exhaust system on my 97 F150 w/ 5.4, sounds great!! real deep throaty sound at idle and does not resonate inside the cabin at all. While on the highway at wot it sounds nice too!! i noticed an improvement in the mpg and performance department. I've read all the posts in here bout exhaust systems and in my opinion i think that they are all pretty good, its just a matter of personal preference, i've heard the gibson, flowmaster, and a couple of other brands in my friends trucks and i chose Jardine because it sounds a little deeper. The system cost me $300.00 installed. Hope this helps and good luck with your choice.
97 F150 5.4,Jardine exhaust,Jet chip for the engine & tranny, K & N, 2/4" drop with Eibach suspension, Momo vantage rims

I just had a custom dual exhaust system installed on my '99 F-150 XLT 4x4 ORP. I got it done at Truck Accessory Center in Moyock, NC (RIGHT on the NC/VA line out at the coast.) Total cost is $180 plus tips. (Tips run from $8 to $20 each.) I was done in about 1.5hours. I am VERY pleased with their work.
I have no affiliation with them, just a very satisfied customer. You can reach them at 1-800-784-7648.
