Hi all I need help! What do you think? I'm looking at getting a catback put on, with the three and a half inch by looked to be 24 inch long tips out the back. The Midas shop it is $270 with the tips. At the other shop I can get a 18" glasspack in a catback for $170 plus tips. Also he has a turbo catback for $240. He only has a two year warranty and yes Midas has the life time warranty! I just need a good sound, not loud.

Get the Midas Performance muffler! I had my Gibson sideswept replaced by it. It has a surprisingly throaty rumble to it, and is about 1/3 size of the stock muffler. It has a single inlet, two outlets, and 2.5" dual pipes out to the rear bumper. I paid a little more than your quoted price for it, but it's definitely worth it. Now my V8 really sounds like one!

Ok looks like Midas so far. Also I was thinking of maybe picking up the K&N air filter and maybe just do a mod on the inlet side of the air box. My 5.4 should be opened up to breath then! What do ya think???

If you do the airbox mods, install a K&N filter, gut the aibox and replace the wimpy fender to filter tube with a 3" tube and you won't need the velocity tube unless you just want it for looks. These changes will allow the engine to take in more air and help performance and mileage. Check the "Engines" area and look for the thread on aibox mods. You won't regret it.

Hi all, well I did it, I got the Midas Performance muffler with dual pipes out the back and 31/2" x 22" long tips. All I can say is WOW!!! This is one good sounding Ford. This has a better sound then the classpack by far, not to loud but just a nice throaty deep sound to it. Thanks to wjt and BowHunter! Yes this was good advice, I love the sound! Also I got a K&N filter put in today as well. Goldie, I have a start on the airbox mod. It was just to cold and snowy! I took off the tube from the airbox to the finder is all, so it is opened up. I well try to get a 3" tube and replace it when the WX gets nicer out. Also I will put the dome from the old filter onto the K&N at sametime! I hope to see how MPG and performance needs up, but well be hard to tell with it in 4X4 in all this snow! Thanks All! TNT
