Delayed wipers

now as the weather is getting colder I am having issues with my windshield wipers. They will not turn on right away. It takes about half an hour of driving before they will turn on. I have changed the battery and alternator but it hasn’t helped. Any ideas? Thank you.

What year, make and model of the truck? We can't see this through the Internet.

And now it got colder they will not even turn on. Once and a while it looks like they try to go but don’t actually go anywhere.

Checked the relay it seems fine. From what I’ve read on here sounds like maybe GEM issue but don’t really know much about it and haven’t found anything about 05 specifically so not to sure.

Could be a weak failing wiper motor.

Getting worse. Today I went to turn the wipers on and the radio shut off. As soon as I turned wiper switch off radio turned back on.

You sure your battery and alternator are good? I'd go to a parts store and get them load tested.
