Question None of my trucks power options work. Whats wrong?

My 92 f150 flare side XLT has all the power option like power adjustable lumbar support, power mirrors, power windows and power locks. None of them work but all the fuses in the fuse box are fine. What could the problem be?

Note that he has 2 other threads going - the parking brake don't work and the ABS light is on. Sounds to me like this truck needs some serious lookin' at by a competent mechanic/tech..........

I obviously checked the fuses with a meter, I already said the power options were toast, and I wanted to try and fix it myself. I bought it because it has a 5.0L and its a 5 speed standard to practice driving stick. The truck rips and is fun to drive but it has its issues. And I bet you feel real awesome making fun of a 17 year old who was just looking for some honest help. If you can't help then don't bother replying.

You really need to provide more details in your posts to get decent help. Nobody is making fun of you, that's just the way MGD is. You gotta have thicker skin around here. The way you are coming across to us is you don't have a clue how to troubleshoot anything.

First thing you should do is cough up 35 bucks and get a service manual for the truck.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/1992-Ford-Pi...-/161382794780

Second thing you should do is start a thread in the pre-1997 truck forum where the experts on that old iron hang out, and keep things in one thread instead of starting a new thread for every issue you find.

I obviously checked the fuses with a meter,
No, that was NOT obvious to us. Do you have a chart that says what each fuse is for? Did you use the VOLT portion of the meter and check for +12vdc on BOTH sides of each fuse when installed?

Good mornin' yungin'.

Ah - it becomes clearer, a 17 year old.

Any reason you couldn't be bothered to spend 30 seconds in the Introduction Forum introducing yerself? Or saying Howdy, please or thankee in yer three requests fer help while awaiting FREE advice? I suppose you want Instant gratification as well? Now - do you honestly wonder why I responded the way I did?

Is basic courtesy too much to expect from you? Is that conduct yer normal method of behaviour & communication?

Sorry, hayseed - manners DO count. A LOT. As does a minimal sense of humour - this here thang:

You want FREE help? Then ACT like it. And be respectful and courteous. I promise you - folks will then line up to help you. Including me.

Say - why don't you answer my question - why on Sweet Fayncy Moses's Earth would you buy a truck with so many (potentially expensive) pre-existing issues? No pre-purchase inspection? You HAD to have realized it perhaps wasn't going to be cheap to fix. Oh wait, I forgot - yer 17 .... I. Want. It. Now.

Meanwhile, while you sort out yer whining, and respond, I'll just ask the Moderazzi to create a new forum titled "What's Wrong?" and move all of yer threads there.

Here - have a 'nanner and cheer up - coulda been worse - coulda been a Chebbie

And - Welcome to the Forum - I hope yer stay here is productive.

Hear-tell that one-post-wonder Ligito is jes' dyin to hep ye fix ye truck

Pardon me for expecting this to be an adult forum, with people offering help, rather than chiding and ridiculing.

Another absolutely useless post from you. That's two-fer-two.

I'm sure the OP will be gushing with praise for yer valuable contribution.

You gonna play the belated "boo-hoo, I'm only 17" card too? That gets old - and it does NOT excuse a lack of courtesy.

OR - Are you perhaps the parent of this mannerless excuse fer a kid? If so - good job... go slap yerself.

Bu-bye

Well, I guess it's not the forum, just this thread.
Other threads seem to offer more info and less BS.

BTW, I'm 74 and a great granddaddy.

How does being 17 make you untouchable when someone is joking around? How long does that card work? I'm 27, can I use it too?

Millenials...

Anyway, if your fuses are good, the next logical step would be to check all of your components, make sure they're not fried. Finally, check the wiring harness for bad grounds, broken/corroded wires, or other issues.
