Another update from the original poster...

I just picked up my truck from the dealer today. This time (second attempt to fix it) they replaced the drivers side door latch. Here is exactly what's on the invoice:

"Verified concern found door latch assembly faulty. Removed and replaced drivers frt door latch retest o.know. Cause: Latch".

Hopefully this is the fix. I will post in the near future with an update. Hopefully good news.

 

... 2 weeks after the new door latch was installed and no door unlock problems to report. Will post again later.

 

Same for me. 2 weeks and no issues.

 

2 months after the door latch was replaced and I'm having no problems.
