Turn Signal Issues

Have been having a problem with my turn signal flashing really fast and first thought was a bulb. I checked the bulbs on that side and all are fine. Drove truck again and it didn't do it again for awhile and then it did it again but on the other side of the truck. Got home and let truck sit overnight and its not doing it again.
I know I don't have bad bulbs on both sides at the same time an next thought is Relay or wiring.
Anyone ever have this happen with a fast flash switching sides of the truck? I`m running factory lights and bulb styles so its not due to a change in parts.
I do have the tow package so most likely have a HD flasher relay in there but was thinking of maybe just installing a new one and seeing if maybe that is messing up? I dont really think this would be a multi function switch issue but could be wrong.

Thanks for any ideas guys.

How do you know you do not have bad bulbs on both sides ?
- Could be the filaments are loose and making intermittent contact, don't rule it out due to a guess.

Do your stop lamps both work ?

Might want to try raising the steering wheel, and see if that cures it.
- If so, the connector to the steering wheel is pulling apart, and needs to be pushed together and the harness secured on the truck side, so it does not pull apart again. Somewhat common, but usually the stop lamps are out at the same time.

Another item to check is the condition of the trailer tow adapter, to see if it corroded. Quick test to isolate it is to remove the trailer tow stop / turn fuses.

Sorry for delay in your help. The stop lamps work and the turn signals work as well as both together. When it did it last time the front turns worked and even the rear brake/turn but flashed really fast like it did have a bulb burned out. It also switched sides from left to right so its not a single side/circuit of the truck. The first time it was drivers side and then the next trip a few weeks later passenger side did it...Its why I was leaning towards the relay possibly.I will be at other house this weekend with truck and can pull steering cover off and check the connectors though also. Steering wheel always stays raised as I`m the only one driving it BUT son did drop it last yr when he drove it for a bit to tow his 4 wheeler....Noticed when I got in a wheel was about sitting on my knees.

Thanks for the pointers.

Sorry I was not detailed enough.

The connector for the MFS is behind the anti submarine / knee panel below the steering wheel.

You are looking for a connector like this

This was a members connector on the MFS that had broken clips on it.

You might need to go into the steering wheel column if the one below looks good.

Yeah I have had it all apart before and even need to change my alarm bypass module so perfect time to take it all apart anyways. Thanks for the updated info and pics/links
