sounds like a soaked GEM. The windshield ( or few have claimed it was the roof panel ) leaks and the GEm mounted to the back of the cab fuse panel gets corroded and strange things like this happen ( heater also staying on is another some report ).

Take a look for signs of water on the carpet both up high on the firewall and remove the driver's side kick panel and look at the carpet there.

If you get the truck out of the water and run a small heater in it to dry it out, it also might start working again, confirming the leaking windshield.
-If so, get the windshield resealed.

If not, you might need to pull the cab fuse panel and remove the GEM from it, and check for signs or corrosion.

More info search for GEM or soaked GEM or windshield leak

Water in the fuse box below the GEM can cross-circuit various things so they're HOT when they're not supposed to. Unfortunately, a pretty common issue due to leaky windshields.

When you figure out something you asked about, it's polite to actually tell what the problem and solution turned out to be.

Welcome.

Did you, by chance, actually READ the preceding posts?
