If you have the harness already, you are doing better than Rockpick did with his '01 back in the day ( he still has the #3 & #4 highest post count threads in this forum, and the 2 highest that are not stickies )

The wiring is pretty straight forward with the harness, install the switch in the overhead console and plug the motor in, and you are done.

I do believe that the power slider switch is normally in the overhead console.

Rolls down ?

The power slider is the same direction as the manual one, sideways.

Look at the vast amount of information contained in those 2 threads.

If memory serves me correctly, you were the 1st to go at the CR Lawrence power slider conversion back then.
Here you were calling yourself not leading edge, but being the 1st on the forum to install one

Can I say the "good old days" or is that too close to saying nice gamms

I had a troubleshooting question on the powerslide rear window. I have a 2001 Lariat and opened my rear window this morning...it worked fine, but when I went to close it the window only closes about an inch and then stops. It will still open back to full open but does not close more than an inch.

I have not had a chance yet to examine the window track, but does anyone have an idea of what the issue could be?

Thanks.

Start with checking the track for obstructions and to make sure it is clean and free of dirt.

Thanks, I'll have to check that when I'm finished with work. Worst case, if there is no obstruction could it be an easy troubleshoot on the motor?

My first one did that and the cable on the right side broke out of the slider.

.

My 2002 had the complete wiring already installed. All I did was connect the switch on one end and plug the window motor in the other end by the right rear panel. It all works excellent.
Switch wiring is in same location as the power pedals. Both are by the headlight switch. Factory switch goes by pedal switch from factory.

Power motor bolts behind rear seatback. The holes are pre-drilled from factory.
