XENTEC hid kit

I opened the box expecting something easy. Instead I had no idea what to do. Well the new light plugs into the ballast easily, but the line into the ballast i do not know where it goes. It is a red and black, 2 chord set. It has two metal pieces on the end. Long skinny pieces. Look like to plug into something. What would they plug into?

Post photos of what you've got.

Usually the bulbs plug into the ballast, and the ballast plus into where the old bulbs used to.

The 2 little metal pieces plug into the piece that was ORIGINALLY plugged into the stock bulb. If you plug it in and it doesn't work just switch the metal piecese. HID's are pos/neg sensitive

AHHHHHH GOT YOU. haha i was playing with it the other day and was like there is no way these metal pieces go in here. The only problem is, how do i hold them in? A little housing piece came with it, but it doesnt clip in or fit tightly

I'm guessing you got a single beam kit? Is it for the headlights or fogs?

If for your fogs, something like this should work. Cut off the tabs, splice with correct wire, and connect to OEM connector.

I must say, though, for the close to the price of just the connectors, you can get a relay harness like this. Plug the red to battery, black to ground, the single female connector to one of the OEM plugs (seal up the other), and cut off the two male connectors. Then just splice with the wires from the ballast. That way you have a relay harness and you don't cut up your OEM male connectors.

The same goes for if you got these for your headlights. The only difference here is that your headlights are H13 (low and high beam.) You can either get a male socket, find the ground and low beam and splice it in. Or, get a relay harness, and do the same thing.

The above is null and void if you have a bi-xenon kit, though usually more bi-xenon kits come with everything ready to be wired up. It's usually only some of the single beam HID kits that come with the tabs.

He has a plug and play set. You do NOT need a relay harness. Relay harness' are only for hi/low beam kits.

Well, no he doesn't need it. I was just saying that a pair of female connectors (shipped) costs about the same as a whole relay harness, shipped. Which, I guess, brings up the question of why the female sockets are so expensive (shipped).

As a side note/jest, it doesn't seem to be very plug and play if you have to buy and splice connectors

found the problem. Seems the asian company didnt send the right pieces. They told me autozone would have the right housing. Went and picked up both pieces. Installed it today, and they are working great. I might look into the female connectors just for a more reliable connection, as with the harness also. I think for now, Im going to let it be and see if it will last. I read online that a lot of people have trouble with these cheap kits
