Antitheft or Not ??
Antitheft or Not ??
my truck wont start..when we turn the Key all the instrument panels light up but not getting a crank..the light on the Top dash for the Anti-theft or security remains Lit when turning the key..we just replaced the Fuel Pump and Modulator and the Wire harness to it..we have a remote starter on the truck..not sure if its factory or not,,we bought the truck used..we even pressed on the Bypass Switch for the remote starter and still nothing..would anyone here know how to get my truck going...
Check Fuse # F101, this feeds the starter relay ( Relay R01 )
Pull relay R01, and check pin #85 & 86 for power and ground when turning the key ( ground is from the PCM, and power is from the key in the start position ).

Fuse F101 feeds pin #30, pin 87 is to the starter motor.
You can turn the key to the run position, and momentarily jumper pin 30 to pin 87, the truck should turn over ( if Fuse F101 is good ).

Isn't there some "problem" with the PATS and remote starters that's been discussed somewhere? I'm not finding it, but this is the "PATS" reset procedure - it may do the trick and it won't hurt to try it.

Insert key into ignition.
Turn Key "On".
Theft light will blink rapidly for about 1 minute.
Once Theft light starts blinking slowly (about once every 2 seconds) turn key off.
Remove key from ignition and keep at least 2 feet away from the steering column.
Wait 30 seconds.
Reinsert key and vehicle should now start.
Hope this helps.Turn Key "On".

thanks guys...me and the mechanic are at an awe with this truck..10,000 worth of repairs in just a little over a year...and now we cant even get it started..I am going to try Both procedures and see if it works..Thanks once again..
another to add...when we try and start the truck normally..we hear a clicking noise coming from the fuse panel..if this makes any sense or better understanding on what is going on..
Yep, that sounds like a bad starter relay ( Relay R01 ).
Swap it with the trailer tow battery charge relay to test with.
Save yourself the time ( maybe ? ) and do this prior to the meter work, with this new bit of info.
