The best None hid light bulb to but in

Just wondering what people think is the best watt of bulb or manufacture for new light I am installing. I don't want to get hid, I think there are to bright when you meet someone one the road coming towards you

I've installed H13 Silverstars in my truck. I like the light color - very white, and I feel it gives me better visibility without blinding other traffic.

I'll second the Sylvania Silverstar bulbs.

I went from stock to the Sylvania XV H13, and there was a light output increase ( compared driver side as XV, pass as stock ).
Next ( once the Silverstar H13 bulb was released ) I changed out the driver's side and did the compare of XV to SS, and there was a light output increase.

Sure both times I looked stupid driving down the road with 1 light brighter than the other

x4! I have Silverstar heads, fogs, and blinkers. They look good, and provide good lighting.

i saw the difference like night and day, my friend has a chevy so he has 1 pair of lights for hi's and another bulb for lows...

his lows were upgraded to silverstars, and looked great, his highs looked average, but with new silverstars i'm sure would look greater..

me... yea i'll wait till my bulbs die to replace them with silverstars, cant see spending money on that which is not broken...

I had the Silverstars in my first Expy and LOVED them. Then the bat rasterd hit me head on and took out my front end. No serious injuries but the truck is a parts donor now.

Put the Silverstar Ultras in the new truck and the wifes truck. Not as pleased with them. They say more light, but it is spread out more I think.

I don't want to go HID but want better lights. I may try the plain Silverstars again and add some 6" behind the grill.

Get HIDs.

A 3k or 4k bulb will be very white and as long as you aim your lights correctly they wont be 'too bright when youre going down the road'

Silverstar Ultras in the heads and plain Silverstars in the Fogs. Don't have to worry about blinding people either like you do with HIDs and you pass inspection. I had HIDs in my old ranger and hated them after a while.

H13 & 9145 bulbs are not available in an Ultra config like the H4 and 9007 bulbs.

Don't know if they ever will make this bulb config with the new guidelines.
