Windown wont work

Well for the past few months my window wouldnt go down on my passenger side. I open and close the door and it works. Well the other day it went down and wouldnt go back up. I somehow was lucky and it went up after about 2 hours of the truck sitting.

Since then its been a week or so it hasnt worked at all. I hear it trying to move when i press the button but nothing happens. Whats wrong and what will it take to fix and price. The truck is a 2001 F150 4 door

Thanks

If you're hearing something, I'd say there's mechanical binding in the mechanism. I don't remember where, but there was a thread in this section a few months back about "reinforcing" the support area for the window. It may have been for an Expy, but I imagine the principles are the same.

Try a search for this problem. Maybe "window sticking"? or "window binding"?

Sounds like the problem that can creep up with some power window motors on the 97-03 MY trucks.

Maybe take a look at this thread :
