They sometimes do not last as long as stock bulbs. Stick with something with stock, DOT approved wattages (55w/65w). Anything painted blue or HID is going to not give a legal light output.

I have the Silverstar bulbs in my 2005. I like them. But, I don't really find myself driving my truck much at night. I think their light output is superior and, as far as I know, it's perfectly legal.

Yea, I know they don't last quite as long, but their light output is far superior than stock. Plus it has a "cool" feature added to the truck. I had them on my Yukon and was very happy. The fog lights seem to be the ones I had to replace the most, I guess from the location of them and more direct conact with rain splashing up. They ARE legal! I just didn't know how the Silverstars compared with the PIAAs. I heard some good things and I've heard some bad. I'll probably stay with the Silverstars and get some when Advance AP put em on sale---DirtySCREW
