Smile Keyless Keypad

My keypad recently stopped working, so I assume I am looking at replacing it. I have a 2000 F150 Lariat Ext. Cab 5.4 Will a 2001 F150 Keypad work on my truck? I have one of those available to me.

I just checked the PN from my 2001 install ( yL3Z-14A626-AA ) and the part is listed as :

Front door - Lock and hardware - Keyless lock pad
Keyless lock pad - Regular & super cab 2000 - 2004

The '04 MY is only for the L and Heritage models, the other '04 models were the New body style. Just to be clear on the '04 notation.

Smile key pad on 2000 f150 Lariat

If I replace my key pad with one from another vehicle, do I have to know the code off the other truck, or will it work with my code once I install it.?

It is the same one on the RAP in your truck, does not change, unless the RAP is changed.

BTW : Don't make a new thread each time, replying to the same thread is fine, it is all on the topic of the keypad swap, best to keep it all together.

Regardless of gender, if you replaced your lock actuators, this will be a cake walk.

Here is a thread on installing the keypad ( if it was not on the truck ), that might help with the swap out
