The other option is to use Jack's how to on repairing the LEDs in the switch.

https://www.f150online.com/forums/ar...-switches.html

This is just showing the switch taken apart, and where to hit them with solder, but if you desolder them, and install new LEDs, should be good to go.

In case you did not get to it, the link to the door switches

http://www.fordf150.net/forums/viewtopic.php?t=63465

I think there are a few threads in the 2004-2008 Forum on this topic ( not 100% sure )

Thanks, the link to the door switches is what I needed. Gathering up the parts needed is the aggrevating part.
Ok you can keep your job now!

Good luck on this! Those flippin LEDs are almost microscopic! (And, I'm not kidding)!

You're going to need some pretty high magnification just to see what you're working on and a very tiny soldering iron point - with a steady hand. Probably will need at least a third hand too.

Please try to take pictures if you do this. We'd all like to see how you do it.

Didn't happen unless you put up pictures. Seriously though, how long and how hard was it to install? I think I've got everything I need, but I'm intimidated/short on time it seems like.

Could you at least list the tools you used? Maybe take a picture of anything that is not "obvious"? Oh heck - just take a picture of everything - a picture is worth a "whole bunch of words"!
