backlighting color

i'm pretty new at this, so please bear with me, i own a 2007 lincoln mark lt. i hate the green backlighting on the instrument panel and hvac controls. i installed the nav. radio from the lincoln mkx which has white backlighting. i really like the white. i was wondering if anyone knows if it's possible to change the backlighting in my truck (or the f150, same setup)?

My guess is you will have to take out the green plastic on the inside or just get some aftermarket overlay gauges.

I don't think I'd use sandpaper. You could do some damage with that.

ok....got the green to leave. the acetone and q-tip was taking FOREVER so my friend (ford tech) used a sanding tool with a buffer brush on the end instead of a sanding brush....took only five minutes. i now have to find the white led lights to put in. when i do, ill post pics.
