lights behind the grill?

lights behind the grill?

Iv seen a few trucks now with lights behind the grill.How did they do it is it a kit or is it some thing custom they did i would greatly apretiat any help.

find something solid to mount to and drill. buy either a full light kit and follow the directions for wiring or, like i did, find some lights and build a harness. just make sure the lights you want will fit.

another option is to get angle iron with the holes drilled in it (i usually see it used as hangers for garage door openers) and build a mount. this way you could build whatever you wanted and mount it to whatever you wanted and put the lights wherever you want them.

that is a lot of wants. haha.

the new body trucks have a kit that places the light IN the grill. if you want them BEHIND the grill then youre gonna have to make somethin up.

o ok,ya i looked and theres a bar going across behind the grill that the hood latch mounts on so i might use that i would like some pics if any one has some

6" KC daylighters fit PERFECT behind the stock honey comb grill. all you have to do is mount them upside down. i'll see if i can take some pics of mine today while i have my grill off painting it...
