Yep, you'll need a NGS or similar scan tool to program the key.

On another site (Make) a member was running around with only one key and he lost it.

The dealership wanted $2,000 for a new ECU and two keys.

I had to pay 90.00 to get my second key. One of these days I should really get a third key and program it in case I lose one.

Call around for pricing. All my local locksmiths have the equipment to program the additional keys, but they all wanted an hour's labor to do so. My dealer only charged me 1/2 hour to do it. I already had the extra keys but, apparently, I had never programmed them. Needless to say, I now have three for every vehicle.
