backup szensor beeps a few times then turns off
wehen i place the truck in reverse, the backup sensors beep normal a few times(faster or slower depending on distance of object) then shuts itself off in the cab on/off button. i cannot turn it back to the on position after that. only when i turn the truck off and on again and then the same thing will happen.
any ideas? ive done a bit of looking but no one with similar problem
thanks

We ain't psychic. You have to identify your vehicle.
No on/off button on my 05. It will trigger if something is close when you start. My garage door pillars trigger mine when I start up,but quickly go off. After that, works as advertised. By chance do you have a muddy/dirty bumper ?
on/off button
mine has the on/off button right on top of the lighter.
the sensors are very clean and ive checked for frays on the cabling but looks good.
i cn live without it but thought id ask to see if anyone had a similar problem/fix.
thanks

this is for the backup sensors for sure. once it gets turned off by the computer it does not turn back on.

Sensors are probably dirty
I had the same problem with my 2005 F150. I took all 4 sensors out of the bumper, brought them in the house, held my thumb over the receptacle hole, and hosed them down with the sprayer in the kitchen sink. Installed all 4 sensors back into the bumper and they work like they were brand new. I think there was just a lot of dirt/road salt that got into the housing.
