"Fog Lights" cutout

I have an '02 XLT 4X4---and the "fog lights"---those amazing lights that project maybe 10-15 feet in front of the truck---cut out when I turn on my brights. Anybody know why that is---is it supposed to do that---is there a way that I can keep them on all of the time?

Thanks,

Tim C.

Take a read of your owners manual, yes this is normal operation. Something with F-DOT laws or some other governmental BS reason.

Search on the term foglight mod* for the how to on how to stop it. You can also search on Fedex pilot. That would also turn up his Geosite home page with the how to.

Thanks---I thought it would be easier for me to learn from you guys than fishing through the owner's manual.
